Julia "Opus" Raven - Music and Words

Ah.

You made it.

This is the hinge.
The seam.
The place where the sanctioned self dissolves.

Julia Clouter lives out there in systems, language, and structure.
In here, she fractures.

Welcome to the Marmite field:

obsession, erotic charge, image, sound.
Pop culture under a microscope. Meaning leaking through the cracks.

I was trained to make objects. Central Saint Martins taught me form

but the real education came later: squats, noise, bodies, industry, disillusionment.

I saw how the machine works. I declined the contract.

Julia Opus Raven is not a brand.
She is a frequency.

Inner punk.

Signal flare.
Lighthouse in blackout conditions.

DJ in a sealed room.
No audience required.

My first instrument was proximity

listening to Richard Bartram building sound below floor level.

Jazz, folk, fragments, experiments. That was the codebase.

The rest is transmission.

This is the Marmite Phase.
You’re either inside it - or you’re not.
